About the Founder
Growing up as one of five children in the Great Smokey Mountains of western North Carolina, Fifi Queen could only dream of wearing the fine clothes she longed for in magazines and store windows. But with little money to spare, she and her siblings were happy to make do with what they had – but that didn't diminish Fifi's desire for beautiful clothes.
Not surprisingly, as a young adult Fifi Queen opened her first consignment boutique for women. The year was 1986 and the place was Jacksonville, Florida – and within six months she opened her second store.
Known as “The Clothes Connection” these two inaugural stores prospered and were easily sold when Fifi in 1988 relocated to Amelia Island, Florida. Four years later she was the proud owner of Fifi's Fine Resale Apparel®, the first of what would become a chain of a dozen fine consignment shops throughout Florida and North Carolina.
Truth be told, the Fifi's Fine Resale Apparel® name has become synonymous with success, catching the attention of prospective store owners – some of whom were industry experts and recognized the potential of Fifi Queen's business plan and others who were simply intrigued by the operation and knew they wanted to be a part of the winning and appealing Fifi's Fine Resale Apparel® business program.
Now, Fifi and her husband, Greg Abdian, want to offer their vision and experience to others who recognize the value of consignment shopping where high-quality merchandise is offered at a fraction of its original cost. It is this vision that Fifi hopes to share with you as a Fifi's Fine Resale Apparel® franchisee.
